It’s a time travel novel and believe it or not there was redemption for Madelyn in the end. It was such and endearing story. If she were a medieval woman, I could understand that. Loved the characters, storyline, but the book could have been written in half the pages. The sort of people who are dedicated enough to go through seven grueling years of college and law school at a top university usually are not inclined to suddenly decide to chuck it all and let themselves become so incredibly passive.

She ends up being rescued by a very handsome and mysterious Scot, who happens to be from the very distant past. He has married, lost his wife and child, and been terribly burned by the woman he thought he loved.

Now after all that you are probably wondering why anyone would want to read this and more than likely you are already disgusted with the heroine. But that is just a small complaint as I like to read books in order even if it’s not necessary.

I love reading anything about Scotland and its history.

A Garden in the Rain is my favorite Lynn Kurland novel. I love each and everyone of them and this on is just the same entertaining and enjoyable Story as all the others.
